He was born in Wortham, Tx on May 17, 1924. James graduated from Wortham High School. He married Mary Nell on June 1, 1946. James had a career in the Oilfield for Reed Rock Bit Company which is now Baker Hughes. He was a member of the VFW. James had a passion for hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by two sons, Stephen R. Langston (Hilna), James M. Langston (Mary); three granddaughters, Kasandra Minette (Brendon), Jennifer Brackett (Nathan), Taite Bowers (Kyle); three great grandchildren, Korbin Hamilton (Daniella), Jack Brackett, and Lola Brackett.
A Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Saturday, July 16, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. with a Funeral Service to be held at 3:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
