

James Louis McCutcheon, 96, passed away on May 22, 2012. He was born on December 19, 1915 in Bayside, Texas to William S. McCutcheon and Elsie Peterson McCutcheon Cade. He proudly served his country in the US Army enlisting in 1944. After his Army service he worked for Civil Service at the Naval Air Station for forty-two years and lived in Corpus Christi most of his life. He loved the outdoors, hunting in Texas, fishing on the Texas bays, and ranching in George West, Texas. Preceding him in death were his wife, Robbie Luker McCutcheon; his daughter, Joyce Grunwald; his parents, a sister, and two brothers.
Survivors include two daughters, Flapper (Dan) Bradley of Corpus Christi, Texas, Toy Jones of Austin, Texas; two sisters, Shirley (Winston) Martin of San Antonio, Texas, Cladie Martin of San Diego, California; one brother, George B. McCutcheon of Walker, Louisiana; numerous grandchildren, and a number of great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. on Friday, May 25, 2012 at Cage-Mills Funeral Directors, 4901 Everhart Road. Funeral services will be conducted at 12 noon, Saturday, May 26, 2012 at the Church of Christ on 3rd St. in Bayside, Texas. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Bayside, Texas.
