John is remembered for his quick wit and outgoing spirit. He loved to start conversations with anyone who would listen and always had a story to share and a joke to say. He had a passion for working with his hands, whether is was arts and crafts, to fixing cars-he truly was a jack of all trades. John would always help anyone that needed a tire change, car part fixed, and even a hot meal. He loved the Dallas Cowboys, and would cheer them on whenever they played. He loved Westerns and John Wayne. His love was so deep that he could watch reruns over and over to no end. He truly loved his grandchildren. He always made special birthday cards with coins patterned to their age. John had a creative streak that labeled him Martha Stewart. He was always giving advice and supported them with positivity and prayers. He left a lasting effect to all with his smile and happiness.
Sylvia was his wife who he had an everlasting love. Her passing caused a grief he could not hide and he always said he would be with her soon. They could never stay away from each other for too long and now they are together forever.
