Johnny Gonzales

Our Lord & Savior welcomed Johnny Gonzales into his loving arms on January 21, 2014 at age 64. He was born in Corpus Christi Texas on September 16, 1949. He was the son of Beatrice and stepfather David Garcia. He is preceded in death by his mother Beatrice Garcia and stepfather David Garcia, 2 brothers Rudy and Freddy Gonzales and sister Alicia Gonzales. He is survived by his loved ones; Elvira (David) Merrington; Janie (Samuel) Serna; Rosalinda (Russell) Burris; Joe Luis Garcia; David Garcia Jr. and step daughter Blanca Firo. He also leaves behind 8 nieces, 7 nephews, 7 great nieces, 17 great nephews and 1 great great nephew. He was a caring and loving brother, uncle and friend. He enjoyed watching his favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys, and also enjoyed spending quality time with the people who loved him most. Visitation will be on Sunday, January 26, 2014 at Funeraria Del Angel from 9 am to 9 pm with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7 pm that same evening. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, January 27, 2014 at Holy Family Catholic Church at 10:00 am, interment to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers for the service will be Joe Luis Garcia, David Garcia Jr., Samuel Serna Jr., Freddy Gonzalez Jr., Miguel Sanchez III (Mikey) and Tristan Medina (Pappa Jones).
