Jose is survived by his brother Rodolfo Ricardo Ramos and his sister Isabel Castañeda; his cousin Rebecca Martinez along with numerous nieces and nephews
Jose was preceded in death by his parents, Benedicto Ramos and Concepcion R. Ramos; a brother Benedicto Ramos.
Jose joined the US Army after high school, enjoyed reading books, watching movies and taking long walks by the sea wall. He always thought of other and also enjoyed shopping for gifts for his family. A special thanks goes out to the caring team at Angel Bright Hospice for all their support and caring for Jose.
A Mass of Christian burial for Jose will be held Friday, December 13, 2024 from 9:00 AM at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 540 Hiawatha St., Corpus Christi, TX 78405. Following the mass, interment at 11:00 am at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery, 9974 I-37 Access Road, Corpus Christi, TX 78410
