Jose Carlos Salinas Sr.

Jose Carlos was born September 22, 1918, in Durango, Mexico. His passions were writing poetry, reading, music, and always finding ways of inventing things.

He was a devoted Christian and was a member of Iglesia Bautista Emmanuel, in Corpus Christi, Texas and while in Ft. Worth attended Lamb of God Church. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Guadalupe R. Salinas of 60 years.

He is survived by four sons, Jose C. (Esmeralda) Salinas, Jr. of Houston, Texas, Victor G. Salinas of Red Oak, Texas, Danny (Melinda) Salinas of Houston, Texas, Javier (Tracy) Salinas of Corpus Christi, Texas; three daughters, Connie (Isidro) Garza of Ft. Worth, Texas, Elida (James) Burnett of Corpus Christi, Texas, and Nellie (John) Garcia of Ft. Worth, Texas. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 19 great-grand children and six great-great-great grandchildren.

'Celebration of Life' Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, August 5, 2011 with a Prayer Service to be celebrated that same evening at 6:00 p.m. at Funeraria del Angel Chapel located at 549 Cheyenne.

A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, August 6, 2011 at Funeraria del Angel Chapel at 1:00 p.m.

Interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery
