Josefina Reyes

Maria Josefina was born on May 13th, 1928 in San Benito, Texas and was raised in La Feria, Texas. She was the daughter of Nicolas and Teresa Zamora. She married her husband Rogelio Reyes at the age of 20 years old. They moved to Corpus Christi, Texas to live their lives.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and mother-in-law. She had a career as a public servant, serving the community. She worked at Tuloso-Midway ISD in the cafeteria for several decades. She loved her job. She enjoyed the everyday contact with all the children she served and her co-workers. She served as a Guadalupana at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church for several years after her retirement.

Josefina was preceded in death by her husband Rogelio Reyes ; son Miguel Reyes ; parents Nicolas and Teresa Zamora ; brothers Desiderio Zamora and Francisco Zamora ; sisters Trinidad Flores, Maria Camacho, Librada Camacho, Herminia Garza, Julia Saldivar. She is survived by her son Jose Reyes (Ofelia) and David Reyes (Wilma) ; daughters Aurora Reyes and Rachel Rincon, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is going to be missed dearly by her family and the community.

A visitation will occur from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Sunday, September 28, 2025 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home with a holy rosary at 7:00 PM. A funeral mass will occur Monday, September 29, 2025 at 10:00 AM at St. Peter, Prince of the Apostles Catholic Church, 3901 Violet Rd., Corpus Christi, Texas. A committal will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
