Jovita Garcia

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister who will be dearly missed. Jovita was a kind and caring woman who never closed her door to anyone in need. She loved traveling and fishing with her husband and loved cooking for her family. Spending quality time with her grandchildren was very important to her.

Jovita is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Amando R. Leal and sons, Joe Garcia and Roger Garcia.

She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Salvador Tapia Garcia, Sr. (head usher of Holy Family); her two sons, Salvador L. Garcia, Jr. and Stephen (Ester) Garcia; brothers, Conrado (Magdalena) Leal and Mauricio (Lilliana) Leal; sister, Graciela (Damasio) Rivas; grandchildren, Esperanza Garcia, Salvador Garcia, III and Alyssa Renee Garcia and great-grandchildren, Valentine, Hope Faith Charity. Jovita is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at Funeraria Del Angel from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Catholic Church on Thursday, March 31, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery
