

He is preceded in death by his parents George and Petra Hinojosa, his wife of 67 years Andrea Ayon Hinojosa; his sons, Emilio, Adan, Elias and George A. Hinojosa. Also preceded in death were seven brothers and two sisters; and three grandchildren Roberto Rene, Ofelia and Danny.
He is survived by two sisters Lucia Rodriguez, and Maria Garcia. His children Juan (Katie) Hinojosa; Elena (Isidoro) Martinez, Andrea (Margarito) Rodriguez, Angelica (Castulo) Martinez, Alberto (Ma. Elena) Hinojosa, Arnulfo (Sharron) Hinojosa; Sister Lucia Hinojosa, Manuel (Shirley) Hinojosa, Estela (Juan) Lukse, Rodolfo (Esther) Hinojosa, Grace (Raul) Sanchez, Kathy (Edward) Moreno; daughter-in-law Beatrice Hinojosa; Rose Mary (Francisco) Fernandez, Mary Ann (the late Homar Alaniz), Raymond (Diana) Hinojosa, 43 grandchildren, 65 great grandchildren, 16 great great-grand children; numerous nieces and nephews.
Juan worked 38 years and retired from Corpus Christi Army depot as a fork lift operator. Juan had many passions in his long journey in life. He enjoyed watching baseball, storytelling, music, and most of all family gatherings. He will be dearly missed, but he leaves a great legacy behind through his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 10, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home, 204 N. Meyer in Taft, Texas; visitation will continue at Immaculate Conception Church 120 E. Escobedo Rd. in Taft, Texas from 6:00 p.m. to 8:15 p.m. with a rosary to be held at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, February 11, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church in Taft, Texas. Interment will follow in Taft Cemetery.
