Juanita was a very kind and loving mother and grandmother. She successfully raised three children and was always ready to help out with her numerous grandchildren. No matter the circumstances of life, Juanita always conveyed unconditional love to all of her loved ones and took care of her family the best way she knew how. With a strong heart and deep faith, she took challenges head on and acted as a pillar for those in need. Juanita loved to chat on the phone with her bestfriend since childhood, Maria Elizondo. She had a beautiful personality that just lit the room as soon as she walked in. Juanita will always be remembered for her eagerness to help others, her caring heart, and love for her family and friends, but mostly for her great sense of humor and quick wit. She will be dearly missed by all.
She is preceded in death by her parents Felipe and Josefina Narvaez.
Juanita is survived by her husband, Alfredo Gomez, Sr.; her children, Sandra Gomez, Denise Gomez, and Alfredo Gomez, Jr.; and grandchildren Nathan Martinez, Adam Martinez, Jay Martinez, Alex Martinez, Alfredo Gomez, III, Aubrey Gomez, Ariel Gomez and Ariah Gomez; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at Funeraria Del Angel Everhart, 4901 Everhart Road, Corpus Christi, TX 78411 Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass Celebration at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church,
120 East Escobedo Street, Taft, TX 78390 followed by Interment at 11:30 a.m. at The Palms Cemetery, 4335 Midway Road, Portland, TX 78374.
