Juanita A. Vazquez

Our beloved mother of five generations was a devout Catholic and prayed daily for all of her family and friends. She was a fabulous chef and will be remembered for her delicious tamales, pan de polvo, and hot chocolate. She was a whiz at Word Search and she loved her Spanish novelas. She was the last survivor of her siblings.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Juan Vazquez, her parents Ascencion and Josefa Serna Avalos, son Lubin Isaac Rendon; six brothers, Ascencion, Crescencio, Antonio, Eusebio, Luz, and Alfredo Avalos, and one sister Marta N. Valdez Piñones.

She is survived by her three sons, Audon (Olga), Rey (Maggie), and Jose "Joe" Antonio Vasquez; six daughters, Gloria (Alfredo) Garza, Nancy Pineda, Maria "Chayo" (Henry) Martinez, Gracie (Juan) Olalde, Anna (Pete) Longoria, and Veronica Lopez. Juanita is also survived by twelve Grandchildren, sixteen Great Grandchildren, one Great Great Grandchild, one expected Great Great Granddaughter, four Step Grandchildren, seven Step Great Grandchildren, one step-great great grandchild, numerous nieces and nephews, and one cousin, Betty Jean.

The family will be receiving friends on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel - Memorial Holly with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that same evening. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday June 9, 2016 at Our Lady of San Juan De Los Lagos Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Mark Vasquez, Pete Andrew Longoria, Ryan Garza Silva, Rene Pineda, Joseph Vasquez, and Jayson Pineda. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dale Robert Vasquez, Don Rey Garcia, Eric Rodriguez, Jeremiah Felan, Michael Antonio Coker, Nicholas Anderson, Jayke Pineda, and Jayvren Moya.
