

Eva "Kay" Weddle, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on March 12, 2025, at the age of 76. She was reunited with her parents, Howard and Eva Stobbs, and siblings, Ray and Luis.
Born in Corpus Christi, Texas, Kay was a proud graduate of Calallen, Class of ‘65. She was an active member of her high school band and cherished the memories made during that time.
Kay dedicated over 10 years of her life to managing Maverick Market, where she earned numerous awards and recognition for her exceptional service to the community. Her accomplishments and contributions to the community were a source of immense pride for her.
Kay is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, Tommy Weddle, who selflessly cared for her during her illness; her three children, Ricky, Cheryl, and Rhonda; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a vast number of extended family and friends.
Throughout her life, Kay was passionate about giving back to her community. She volunteered her time with the Red Cross and the Church of Hope, and was a dedicated bell ringer for the Salvation Army. Her love for thrift shopping was legendary, and she could often be found scouring local yard sales and discount stores.
Kay legacy will be remembered through the countless lives she touched and the memories she created. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the American Red Cross or the Salvation Army in Kay honor.
A public visitation for Kay will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415 on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at 12:30 PM with a Funeral Service at 2:00 pm Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
