Laurencia L. Aguilar

Laurencia L. Aguilar, 97, passed away on May 1, 2022 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was born in Robstown, Texas on August 26, 1924 to Demetrio and Jesusa Lopez. She was married to the love of her life, Rodolfo Aguilar.

Laurencia loved gardening and planting. She had a wonderful green thumb and could make anything grow. She also loved to sew and cook. She had a passion for animals and would ride a horse to school. She grew up on a ranch in the Bluntzer/Calallen area. She loved nature and everything outdoors. A couple of her favorite past times was to drive to Lake Corpus Christi in Mathis and look at flowers; especially the beautiful bluebonnets in the Five Points/Calallen area; as well as dove hunting with her son – although she would never shoot. She will be missed by all her knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Demetrio and Jesusa; husband, Rodolfo Aguilar; son, Roger Aguilar and one brother and two sisters.

She is survived by her children: Rudy Aguilar, Jr., Ricardo Aguilar, Lamar Aguilar, and Rene Aguilar. She will be lovingly missed by her 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her two sisters.

A visitation for LAURENCIA will be held Friday, May 13, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415. Holy rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home at 10:00 AM with entombment to follow at Memory Gardens Mausoleum.
