

Linda Sue Bennison Earls, 79, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away on December 10, 2021. Linda was born in Galveston, Texas on January 10, 1942. She was the daughter of Sam Paul Bennison and Vivian Lorene Johnson Bennison. Linda was married to Paul Edwin Earls on September 7, 1963. Linda had graduated from La Marque High School in La Marque, Texas in 1960. She attended Southwestern University at Georgetown, Texas where she earned a BFA. Later, she earned a MEd at Pan American University in Edinburg, Texas. Linda taught kindergarten while going to school to get certified as an Educational Diagnostician and as a consultant in Special Education at CCISD.
When she retired from Corpus Christi ISD, she returned to a kindergarten classroom teaching position for one year in a private school, making a “full circle” as she described it.
Linda was a long time member of the Methodist Church with many years as a member of First United Methodist Church in Corpus Christi, participating in choir, bible study and other small groups. She was a long time member of the Bay Yacht Club. She enjoyed sailing, travel and RVing.
Linda is survived by her husband, Paul Edwin Earls, her son Christopher Harrison Earls (Lorrie Bennett), her sisters Katie Bennison Hyslop (Robert Hyslop), Nancy Jane Earls Taylor (Wesley Dean Taylor) and various friends who are considered family.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on January 10, 2022 (her 80th birthday) at First United Methodist Church in Corpus Christi, Texas.
