

Loren Oklan Hall passed away on May 8, 2011 in Corpus Christi, Texas with his family at his side. He was born January 25, 1928 in Oklahoma and moved to Corpus Christi at age 12. A graduate of Northwestern University, he held a Master’s Degree in Education from Texas A&I, Kingsville, Texas. A musician and music educator, he was a charter member of the Corpus Christi Symphony, and one of the four original conductors of the Corpus Christi Municipal Band. He started band programs in Orange Grove, Tuloso Midway, Carroll High School and King High School, and served as Corpus Christi Independent School District Music Consultant.
He was preceded in death by his wife, of forty-nine years, Priscilla Price Hall. Surviving him are his five children, Dr. Pamela Hall (James Duerr), Susan Hall (Kort Angerstein), Lauren Hall Moede (Kurt Moede), Loren Hall, Jr. (Margaret Mika Hall) and Tammy Hall. He was grandfather of ten and had one great grandson.
