Macaria M. Ramirez

She was born on October 4, 1925 in McAllen, Texas. She was the daughter of Jose M. Munoz and Mariana Villarreal Munoz.

Our dear mother was so full of life. She was a woman of faith, a pillar of strength, and a compassionate and giving soul. Her wit and sense of humor will forever live in our hearts.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Isidoro Ramirez; her parents; her grandson, Joel Ramirez; her siblings, Tina, Ninfa, and Ruben Munoz. She is survived by her 11 children, Elvia (George) Viera, Linda (Daniel) Correa, Maria (Tony) Gonzales, Toni Ramirez, Elizabeth Zundt, Elida (Bill) Marin, Rosa (David) Canales, Letty (Jesse) Lopez, Isidoro Jr. (Alma) Ramirez, Rudy (Angel) Ramirez and Reynaldo Ramirez; 3-sisters, Guadalupe M. Campos, Felicitas Munoz, Irma Trevino; 1-brother, Jose M. Munoz, Jr. She also leaves behind 23 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren.

We would also like to thank our cousins, Selie, Irma, Nora and Marisol for their caring support of our mother.

The family would like to extend their deepest appreciation to Altus Hospice and their wonderful staff for their caring support.

Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary to be recited at 7:30 p.m. that same evening.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church with interment to Memory Gardens Cemetery.
