Margaret Elaine Hunt, 80, passed away peacefully on August 18, 2024, in Portland, Texas. Born on August 5, 1944, she dedicated many years of her life to working in hospice, providing care and comfort to those at the end of their lives.
Margaret is survived by her loving children, Craig Keeling Hunt (Francine) and Kim (Joe) Cabrera. She was a cherished grandmother to Tatum, Cooper, Jonathan (Victoria), and Bailey, and a proud great-grandmother to Olive Cabrera. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Gerine Holder, her beloved husband, Marvin Hunt Jr., and her brother, Michael Holder. She is also survived by her 5 dogs that she cherished.
A special thank you to Saydie and Summer from Cimarron Place for providing her love and care over the past year and Harbor Hospice in Portland, Texas for providing her comfort in her last days.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, located at 8200 Old Brownsville Rd., Corpus Christi, Texas. The family invites those who knew and loved Margaret to join them in celebrating her life.
