She was born on October 17, 1935, to Benito and Antonia Salinas in the area of Taft, Gregory, TX. Maria was preceded in death by her parents, 5 brothers, 2 sisters, 3 daughters and her twin sons, as well as her spouse Alfonso Parra. Maria is survived by her sister Valentine (Lydia) Salinas and her children Alice Moreno, Lucy Gonzales, Juna Gonzales, Elodia Lopez (Ruben Juarez). She is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren.
A visitation for Maria will be held Wednesday, April 2, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel Everhart, 4901 Everhart Road, Corpus Christi, TX 78411. A recitation of the holy rosary will occur Wednesday, April 2, 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral mass will occur Thursday, April 3, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1322 Comanche St., Corpus Christi, TX 78401. A burial will occur Thursday, April 3, 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Rose Hill Cemetery, 2731 Comanche St., Corpus Christi, TX 78408.
