Maria Guadalupe Vega

Maria was a wonderful and caring wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She was a wonderful homemaker who was crafty and loved to cook and bake. She will be greatly missed.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Rafael R. Vega whom passed on January 8, 2014; daughter, Veronica V. Rodriguez; parents, Jose and Anastacia Peña; sister, Aurora Rojas; and brothers, Reynaldo and Victor Peña.

Maria is survived by her daughters, Monica Vega, and Jessica (Manuel Padilla) Vega; grandchildren, Lorena, Rodriguez, Luis J. Rodriguez, Araceli Vega, and Clarissa J. Padilla; sisters, Adelida De Los Santos, Angelita (Jesus) Cortez, Ophelia (Randy) O’Brien, Diana (Roberto) Guevara, Ana Peña, Juana (Eudosio) Campozano, Norma (Peter) Reichert, and Maria Ester Campozano; brothers, José Maria (Gloria) Peña, Jr., Jesus Peña, Oscar Peña, Juanito R. (Maria) Peña, Raul (Trinidad) Peña, and Ruben (Raquel) Rojas; and many nieces and nephews whom she adored dearly.

Family will be receiving friends on Friday, October 17, 2014 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. that same evening.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
