Martina Rosario “Rose” Garcia, age 73, passed away on January 27, 2021 in San Antonio, Texas.
Rose was born December 24, 1947 to Guadalupe Sr. and Amelia Ramirez in Corpus Christi, Texas. She attended Mary Carroll High School. She worked & retired from Arruth Associates, Inc. She was a devoted Catholic and a member of Most Precious Blood Catholic Church when living in Corpus Christi. Rose was a member of MPB Adult Choir and loved to pray her rosary daily. Rose was a generous person, loved spending time with family and friends. She loved flowers, gardening, her novelas, listening, singing, and dancing to Spanish & Country Western music. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and had a great love for her sisters, brothers, nephews, nieces, and Richard’s family.
She is processed in death by her parents, Guadalupe and Amelia Ramirez; her in-laws, Manuel and Bea Garcia; and a special brother-in-law, Pedro Gonzales Sr.
Rose is survived by the love of her life, her husband, Richard L. Garcia; her loving sons, Richard (Marlene) Garcia, Daniel (Lucelva) Garcia, and Joseph (Lisa Gorenz); her sisters, Gloria Gonzales (Pedro Sr.), Guadalupe Jr. (Susan) Ramirez, Patricia (Troy Tijerina), and Albert Canales; her granddaughters, Hilary (Chris) Vera, Carmen (Nicholas) Hill, Hailey (Jordan) Bittner, Erika Garcia, and Alondra Garcia; one grandson, Daniel Garcia, one great-granddaughter, and 2 great-grandsons, and numerous nieces, nephews, family, friends, and her loving furry devoted companion, Tiger.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 10 at 8:30 am at Memory Gardens Funeral Home. A Holy Rosary and Funeral Mass will follow at 9:30 am at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church. Interment will begin at 1:00 pm at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
