Mary Ann Balboa, age 92, was called to her heavenly home on July 29, 2020, with her daughter by her side. She was born in Cuero, TX, on April 17, 1928. After moving to Corpus Christi, TX, she met and married the love of her life, and husband of 67 years, Rodolfo V. Balboa, at the age of 19. They moved to California, a few years later, only to return and live out their retirement years with their family in Corpus Christi, TX. Mary Ann will be remembered for her always beautifully decorated home that was festive and happy for all those to enjoy throughout the seasons. She was a kid at heart and loved spending quality time with grandchildren and great grandchildren playing card and board games. Those who knew her could call her quite a creative diva as her favorite past time was making hand crafted goodies that expressed her wonderful imagination and her talent to create. She was preceded in death by her parents, Rafael and Manuela S. Villarreal, her husband, Rodolfo V. Balboa, grandson, Jeremiah Jacob Balboa, her sisters, Evuvijen V. Barrera, Consuelo Morales, Guadalupe Villarreal, and her brother, Domingo S. Villarreal. She is survived by one brother, Joe S. Villarreal, daughter, Melinda Ann Martinez (Juan), her son, Rudy Balboa Jr. (Tammy), 7 grandchildren, and 4 great granddaughters. She will be dearly missed by all those that knew and loved her. Family would like to give special thanks to niece and nephew, Diana and David Canales, for always being there for Mom with their generosity of love and support. Also, much appreciation goes out to family and friends who expressed their thoughts, prayers, and affections throughout the years.
