

Mary Diane (Wimsatt) Stephens, 61, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2016, to be with her Lord and Savior. She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on December 28, 1954 and resided in Corpus Christi, Texas. As a member of Kings Crossing Church of Christ she shared her faith, love and compassion. After serving our country in the US Army, Diane continued in the medical field for 15 years at Spohn South as an anesthesia tech. Diane will be reuniting with her loved ones that passed before her, Father Charles Leonard Wimsatt, mothers Mildred Riggs Wimsatt and Hazel Wimsatt; siblings, Judy (Ron) Lewis, Carol Seigle and Leonard Wayne Wimsatt. She is survived by her loving husband, Rocky Stephens; daughters, Dawn Fowler (Chad Ogle), Ryan (Jeff) Sterner and four grandchildren, Austin, Madison Ogle and Taylor, Ethan Sterner; two sisters, Madonna Farris and Monica (Albert) Wolford; six nephews and two nieces.
Prison ministry held a special place in heart, even bedridden Diane would work grading papers for prisoners who wanted to learn more about the Bible. Our heartfelt appreciation goes to the care givers whose compassion made her passing peaceful.
A Visitation will be held from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Thursday, March 10, 2016 at Cage Mills Funeral Directors Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 am on Friday, March 11, 2016 at Cage Mills Funeral Directors Funeral Home with a burial at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery.
