She was a devoted mother and wife. She will be dearly remembered for her smile. Meta was a long time member of The Eastern Star Aransas Pass Chapter.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Ottila Proske; husband Steve Smith-Barry; daughter, Doris Smith; and her grandson, Craig Cooper.
She is survived by her sons, Owen (Linda) Smith-Barry and Bob (Lynda) Smith-Barry; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; sisters, Judy Stogsdill and Rubie Galipp.
Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Friday, July 14, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Funeral Service will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Saturday, July 15, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. with Interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
