Michael "Mick" Mathew McDonough Jr.

Michael Mathew McDonough, Jr. "Mick", 54 passed away Saturday, April 2, 2011 amongst family at his home as his battle with pancreatic cancer ended. He was born December 8, 1956 in Corpus Christi, Texas to Mike McDonough and Janett Cecil.

Mick was born and raised in Corpus Christi and had worked at Stewart & Stevenson but ended his career with Waukesha Pierce as a natural gas mechanic. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed spending his days outdoors.

Survivors include his daughter Katrina McDonough; mother Janett (Keith) Cecil of Oak Harbor, WA; father Mike (Barbara) McDonough of Corpus Christi; sisters Kelly McDonough and Liz (Fred) Frederick of Corpus Christi; brother Joseph "JC" McDonough of Seattle, WA; niece Shawn (Mark) Elizondo; two great nephews Alex and Tony Elizondo; nephews Coleman and Chase Frederick, Kenny Schroder all of Corpus Christi; uncles Bruce Staggs of Corpus Christi, Pat (Shirley) McDonough of Robstown and Dan (Dollie) McDonough of Agua Dulce; along with 17 cousins.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 5, 2011 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at the Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park located at 2731 Comanche.

Active pallbearers will be Coleman and Chase Frederick, Kenny Schroder, Colton Taylor, Danny Goode, Mark Elizondo; honorary pallbearer will be Fred Frederick.
