Michael D. Stephenson

Michael D. Stephenson, born March 23, 1963, went to be with the lord on December 19, 2015. He passed unexpectedly while residing in Colorado Springs, CO. Michael was born in Kingsville, TX and was raised in Corpus Christi, TX. He graduated from Mary Carroll High School in 1981. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother and son. He was an avid sports enthusiast and loved to play the game of golf. Michael worked for the Department of Defense for 34 yrs. During his career, as an Environmental Specialist, he worked in Corpus Christi, Kingsville, Ingleside, South Korea and Colorado Springs. He will always be remembered for his love of life, quick wit and larger than life personality. He loved his family unconditionally and was a great friend to many. He cherished his time in South Korea and made friends all over the world. There was no sport he didn’t enjoy. Michael was preceded in death by his father, Ronald D. Stephenson and his granddaughter, Leana Stephenson. He is survived by his mother Aurora B. Stephenson; Children: David Stephenson (Natalie), Christina Stephenson; Sisters: Amanda Esparza (Oscar) and Sandra Basile (Richard); Grandchildren: Bella Stephenson and Olivia Stephenson. Visitation will be held on Monday December 28, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home with Memorial following at 5:00 pm.
