Mike Rivera Jr.

Mike was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Andres and Eva Landa and paternal grandparents, Pedro and Petra Rivera.

Mike graduated from Ray High School. He worked for the City of Corpus Christi for 16 years and was currently working for Ben Keith for the past 2 years.

Mike leaves behind his family to cherish his memory; his parents, Miguel Rivera Sr. of Benavides, Texas, his mother, Janie Landa Rosas; daughter, Natalie Nicole Rivera; son, Jonathan Michael Rivera; girlfriend, Michelle Cervantes; sister, Raquel Rivera Fike (Michael); niece, Danielle Andra Acuña; nephew, Albert Rivera Acuña; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Mike was a loving son, father, brother and uncle; a caring person who would help anyone in need. He was very involved with his son’s Little League team and served as the Assistant Coach. Mike will be dearly missed by everyone whose lives he touched.

Mike had a very special place in his heart for Maddie Cervantes whom he considered as his daughter.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 2, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening.

Funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, January 3, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
