

Nazario married the love of his life, Venessa “Nessa Love” Contreras, on October 26, 2007, in Alice, Texas. They shared 24 beautiful years together and were married for 18 of those years, building a life rooted in love, laughter, and family.
Nazario dedicated more than 30 years of his life to working in the oilfield. Throughout his career, he was employed by Halliburton, NOV, Weatherford, HydroChem, CUDD, Thruster, BJ CoilTech, and many others. No matter where he worked, Nazario put his heart and soul into everything he did. His work took him all over the world, including Russia and Africa. These experiences he considered some of the best moments of his career. He was known for his strong work ethic, pride in his craft, and commitment to providing for his family.
Nazario lived life with joy and energy. He loved listening to music, watching football and baseball games, dancing, cooking, barbecuing, and, most of all, spending time with his children and family. He had a one-of-a-kind personality, the kind of person who could brighten anyone’s day. Known for his infectious laugh, funny jokes, bright smile, and unforgettable dance moves, there was truly never a dull moment when Nazario was around.
Above all, Nazario was a devoted family man. He gave his family the world, often going without to make sure they never had to. His family was his everything.
Nazario was preceded in death by his grandparents, Melda and Federico Lopez, Nazario Contreras Sr., Candida Contreras; his father-in-law, Raul Farias; and Luis Lozano.
He is survived by his loving parents, Minerva Contreras and Nazario Contreras Jr.; his cherished children, Brittany Leanne Contreras, Nazario Roberto (Mary) Contreras IV, Michael Kenneth Contreras, Isabella Rose Contreras, and Lyndsay Lozano; his siblings, Ricardo Rene Contreras and wife Shannon, and Stephanie Marie Contreras; and his beloved grandchildren, Levi Gutierrez and Leila Reign Contreras.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the nurses, EMTs, and doctors at CHRISTUS Spohn Shoreline, as well as to all family and friends for their love, prayers, and support during this difficult time
A memorial service will be held at Funeraria Del Angel, located at 4901 Everhart Road, Corpus Christi, Texas, 78411, on January 16, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm. A Holy Rosary will take place at the same location on January 16, 2026, at 7:00 pm.
