

He attended Roy Miller High School enlisting in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War in his junior year. He obtained his G.E.D. while in the Air Force. After he was honorably discharged from the Air Force, he attended Del Mar College and received an Equipment Specialist Associate’s Degree. He then was employed at CCAD (Corpus Christi Army Depot). He retired from CCAD in 1988 and opened up a tire business with his son, Nicholas Medina III. In 2016, Texas passed legislation for school districts to issue diplomas to veterans who left school to serve in any of the wars since World War II. He received his high school diploma and walked the stage with the Roy Miller High School graduating class or 2016.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Julia G. Medina; son, Nicholas Medina III; son-in-law, Daniel Walters; great-godson, Tristan Medina and daughter, Cynthia Ann Walters.
He is survived by sisters, Olivia Liebert and Elvira Woods; daughters, Nancy Elizondo (Enrique Elizondo) and Belinda Zand; son, Norman Medina (Patricia Medina); 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

The pallbearers are grandsons, Louis Hinojosa, Jeremy Walters, Aaron Walters, Adrian Medina, Enrique Elizondo Jr., Norman Medina, Patrick Medina, and Louis Escamilla.
Visitation will be held at Funeraria del Angel, 549 Cheyenne St., on December 10, 2020 at 9:00 am with Chapel services to follow at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 8200 Old Brownville Rd.
