Olivia B. Buentello Maldonado

Olivia B. Maldonado, age 86, was called to join our Heavenly Father on April 19, 2011. Olivia was born November 21, 1924 to Jesus and Maria Elizarde Buentello. Olivia was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church for over 50 years, she was known as Tia and Güela, she worked many years in the restaurant business and we will continue to appreciate all she did for all of us.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Guillermo 'Willie' Maldonado, her parents and four sisters.

Olivia is survived by her son, Reymundo Campos (Kathy) of Corpus Christi, Texas; daughters, Maria Morin (Gilbert) of Poteet, Texas and Jo-z Cisneros of Corpus Christi, Texas; grandchildren, Jason and Zachary Campos of San Antonio, Texas, Matthew (Corina) and Michael Morin of Poteet, Texas, Myranda M. Green (Remy) of MD and Jazzmin M. Hernandez of Corpus Christi, Texas and seven great-grandchildren. Olivia raised two special nieces as her own, Magdalena E. (Johnny) Elizondo and Yolanda Rodriguez both of Houston, Texas. Mrs. Maldonado was very fortunate to have an adopted family who cared for her, Godson Santiago Del Rosal (Maria Dolores) and their family who called her grandma, Osiris, Lila, Veronica (Cesar Martinez) and Maria del Carmen. She is also survived by one sister Amalia Riojas and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at Funeraria Del Angel, 549 Cheyenne, followed by a Holy Rosary at 10:30 a.m.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at 11:30 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church on Nogales St. Interment will follow to Memory Gardens Cemetery.
