Otho Bellar Young Jr.

Otho Bellar Young Jr., 91, passed away October 3, 2018. He was born July 12, 1927 in Beaumont Texas. Otho married the love of his life, Nell, on November 21, 1947 by the Rev. Lester Roloff in Corpus Christi.

Papa, as his family knew him, served in the United States Marine Corps in World War II, and was honorably discharged in September of 1946. Otho was a retired food salesman. Otho became an ordained minister on August 13, 1995. Otho never missed the opportunity to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ to anyone he encountered.

Otho is preceded in death by his wife Nell; his parents Otho, Sr. and Ethel Young; a brother, Tommy Young; his sister, Jean Warren, and a special grandchild, Zachery Paul Young.

He is survived by his sons: Buddy (SandI) Young III, Randell Lee ( Elizabeth) Young and Mark Wayne (Delia) Young and his grandchildren: Kara, Kimberly, Sarah, Amy, Ryan, Mark Wayne II ( John Mark ), and Taylor; his great-grandchildren Conner and Colton Wayne Young, Natalee, Sadie Martinez, and his wonderful sisters Sharon Crossley and Diann Schlabach.

Funeral service will be held Monday, October 8, 2018 at 10:00 am at Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Interment will immediately follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
