Paul Joseph Labonte, known as Sam to his friends, passed away on June 17, 2011 at home surrounded by his loving family. Sam died at 76 after a ten year battle with Alzheimer's disease. Sam was born on December 23, 1934 to Lucien and Orise Labonte in Manchester, New Hampshire.
Preceding Sam in death are his parents; his brother, Maurice Labonte and his sister, Clare Morrisette.
Sam is survived by his sister, Estelle McCollough; Sam was married to his loving wife, Alice 'Mimi' Labonte for 54 years; Sam will be greatly missed by his children: Dorothea Montoya and her husband, Arnold; Paul Labonte, Jr., Theresa Cajthaml and Lawrence Labonte and his wife, Elizabeth; Sam leaves behind seven grandchildren: Blayre, Joshua, Andrew, Harris, Courtney, Lauren and Paige along with two great-grandchildren: Malia and Olivia.
Sam was a dedicated member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church Knights of Columbus and St. Vincent de Paul Society. Sam was also Vice President of the local AFL-CIO Union. Paul/Sam/Papa was a loving man who will be dearly missed by all he affected with his love, generosity, wit and humor.
