Pete was born on October 18, 1955, in Corpus Christi, TX, to Pedro and Beatrice (Hernandez) Lopez Sr. Pete enlisted in the US Army during the end of the Vietnam War and received an honorable discharge. In his early years, he owned and operated a family seafood business, Gulf Coast Seafood. He switched his career and became a Maintenance Supervisor for most of his working life, and finally in his later years, an avid bingo player. As a wise man, he lived his life with self-confidence and respect. He enjoyed playing bingo, fishing, buying lotto tickets, and bragging about his daughters and grandkids accomplishments.
Pedro, also known as “Tito,” to his close family, is preceded in death by his mother, father, and brother Rosendo Lopez Sr. He is survived by his former wife of 39 years, Adelita (Salazar) Lopez and daughters, Beatrice Lopez (Pedro Jr.), Deborah Lopez (Gabriel) and Daniella Lopez-Hall (Julian Jr.). His grandkids, Samira Lopez, Victoria Adame, Vicenta Trevino, Joel Adame Jr., Joaquinn A. Lopez, and Julian Hall III. Pedro came from a large family and is survived by; brothers and sisters; Juan (Lidia) Lopez, Daniel H. Lopez, Jose A. (Angel) Lopez, Felix (Velma) Lopez, Gracie Trevino, Cristela Oropez, and Hector (Rosie) Lopez.
Visitation will be held at 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel on 549 Cheyenne St. with a Rosary recited at 7 p.m. on Monday, September 13, 2021. Church will be held at Holy Family Church at 9:30 a.m. and burial to follow at the Costal Bend State Veterans Cemetery at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, September 14, 2021.
Having the distinguished honor to be pallbearers are Jose A. Lopez, Pedro Lopez Jr., Jesse Trevino Jr., Joel Adame Jr., Joaquinn A. Lopez, and Julian Hall Jr.
