Peggy Dunn Mizell

Peggy was born on August 16, 1938, in Weimar, TX, and graduated from Weimar High School in 1956. Her grandchildren affectionately knew her as “Nanny”. She was a generous individual who dearly loved her family and friends and possessed passions for country music, television game shows, and shiny jewelry. She will be incredibly missed.

Peggy is survived by her children, (Shannon Chandler of Corpus Christi, TX, and Brian Smith of Jennings, LA), her son-in-law (Wayne Chandler of Corpus Christi, TX), two grandchildren (Kody Chandler of Victoria, TX, and Katy Groth of Corpus Christi, TX), and four great-grandchildren. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin “Ike” Dunn of Weimar, TX, precede her in death.

Funeral services are scheduled for Thursday, November 5, 2015, at 2pm at Memory Gardens Funeral Chapel in Corpus Christi, TX, with a gravesite service following immediately after at Evergreen Cemetery in Skidmore, TX. Pastor Bevans Welder of Bible Believers Baptist Church will officiate the services. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Peggy’s life.

Peggy’s family would like to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers during this time, as well as the caregivers and doctors for their efforts in making her last days comfortable and peaceful.
