Petra Bernal Moreno

Petra was married to Camilo E. Moreno Sr. and was a proud and faithful member of Christ the King Parish. Petra, known as MaPat to her grandchildren, nephews and nieces, was known for her warm spirit, strong family values, making her delicious flour tortillas, and always being well-dressed.

Petra had a passion for dancing, holiday gatherings, dining out, and attending family events. Her favorite memories included joking around with loved ones, going on trips, cheering on her sons and grandchildren at their sporting events, enjoying BBQs, and spending cherished time with family. Above all, family meant everything to her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Camilo E. Moreno Jr.; her son, Refugio “Cook” Moreno; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Manuel Bernal Sr.; and her siblings, Genero Bernal, Manuel Bernal Jr., Fela Villanueva, and Jose F. Bernal.

Petra is survived by her children, Brijido “Bobby” (Ramona) Moreno, Camilo “CJ” (Nora) Moreno Jr., and Juan “Johnny” Moreno (Aaliyah); her siblings, Juan (Amelia) Bernal and Alejandra Herrera; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of CC Nursing & Rehab, as well as to friends and family, for their care, love, and support.

Petra will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
