Rafael worked many years in Quality Control at PWC Metal Fabrications, where he was known for his dedication, reliability, and pride in his work.
On July 26, 2020, Rafael married the love of his life, Maria Garcia, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Alice, Texas. Their marriage was filled with love, companionship, and shared moments that meant the world to him. Rafael was also a proud and faithful member of Holy Family Catholic Church, where his faith remained an important part of his life.
Rafael enjoyed the simple pleasures that brought him happiness. He loved playing bingo and lotto scratch offs and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing baseball, a time in his life he often looked back on fondly. Watching boxing was one of his favorite pastimes, and he never missed a good fight.
One of Rafael’s greatest joys was spending time with family, especially when it came to sharing stories. He loved talking about the past and never hesitated to make fun of himself, always finding humor in his own stories. He was known for his kind heart and for always caring deeply for others, often putting the needs of those around him before his own.
Rafael was preceded in death by his wife, Maria Pineda; his parents, Bonifacio Pineda and Rafela Aguilar; his brothers, Feliciano Pineda, Teofilo Cervantes, and Paul Pineda; and his sisters, Martina Espinoza, Juana Pineda, and Maria De Jesus Barnette.
