He is survived by his wife Rosalinda Herrera and his three children, Jennifer Herrera, Jessica Herrera and Ray Herrera. He also leaves behind four sisters and one brother. He was a dedicated worker and loved his job with the Nueces County Animal Control Department where he worked as a supervisor. He was also known for his love for the Dallas Cowboys. Everyone knew his truck and when they would see it around town they would look for the star and knew it was him.
He loved his family very much and went far and beyond what he needed to do to take care of them.
To many people he was known by different names, such as Ray Ray, Big Ray, coach and chief. Ramon will be dearly missed by everyone whose life he touched.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 9, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a rosary recited at 7:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel-Memorial Holly Mass will be celebrated Friday, June 10, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
