Remigio “Mr. G” Gonzalez, 89, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 8, 2016, surrounded by his loving family by his side. He was born on October 1, 1926, in Combes, TX, to Ascencion and Benita Gonzales. Remigio was a devoted husband, father and had a strong faith in God. He was a long time member of Our Lady of Pilar Catholic Church. Remigio loved his garden and worked very hard on it with much joy. He was employed by Nueces County Precinct #1. He is preceded in death by his parents, loving wife, Aurora Gonzalez and son, David Gonzalez. Remigio is survived by his children, Juan Gonzalez, Ruben Gonzalez (Maria), Dora Rodriguez (Rudy), Tereza Sanchez (George), Martin Gonzalez (Katy), and Anita Gonzalez; 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. His family was his pride and joy. He is our #1. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Monday, September 12, 2016, with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Memorial Holly Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 13 2016 at Our Lady of Pilar Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
