

Reynaldo Franco, 84, of Corpus Christi, passed away Friday morning, June 16, 2017. He was born in Springfield, Texas, on December 13, 1932. Mr. Franco is survived by his wife of 65 years, Damiana Loredo Franco and their five daughters: Juanita Medina (Tony), Piedad Ymbert (Gilbert, Jr.), Angelina Escamilla (Daniel), Mariana Castillo (Reynaldo), and Josefa Franco. He also leaves behind 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Mr. Franco is survived by 2 siblings: Sofia Guerra of Alice, TX and Aurora Lopez of Wharton, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents, Juan and Sofia Franco, his sisters, Piedad Franco of St. Paul, Minnesota, Eva Aguirre and Noemi Rios of Alice, TX and a half-sister, Sofia Gonzales of Odem, TX. Reynaldo last worked as a diesel mechanic and retired from Permian Corporation after more than 25 years of service. He was a faithful member of Heritage Park Baptist Church. He loved the Lord and had a passion for reading and studying the Bible, visiting and sharing the Word, as well as having fellowship with his brethren in Christ. He enjoyed Spurs and Cowboy games and was a big fan of professional wrestling. Reynaldo had a great sense of humor and enjoyed sharing stories and jokes with his family and friends and took pride in keeping a manicured lawn. Viewing will begin Tuesday afternoon at 4 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel – Memorial at 3442 Holly Rd followed by a Reflection Service at 7 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Heritage Baptist Church at 10 a.m. Wednesday morning at 5217 Yorktown Blvd, Corpus Christi, TX. 2 Timothy 4:7 “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
