Richard, who was affectionately called “Ant” by his family, had a love for life and the Dallas Cowboys. Ant was always quick with a joke and loved to laugh. He held various positions in the area of welding and construction. He was good craftsman who loved working with his hands and building projects.
Richard is survived by his fiancé, Aurora Habtineh and his mother Julie (Paul) Cuevas; his daughters, Andrea (Jeffrey) Douglas, Amanda, and Emily; sons Arturo Javier, “AJ” (Roxanna) Sosa, Anthony (Melinda) Douglas, Adrian (Susie) Douglas, and Angel Anthony Douglas; brothers, James (Sylvia) Douglas, Jr., Gabriel (Letty) Douglas, Kirk (Shari) Douglas; sisters Jackie, Kathy, and Kara; 13 grandchildren, and numerous nephews and nieces.
Family will be receiving friends at Funeraria del Angel-549 Cheyenne St.
on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 pm that same evening. A Funeral Service at 10:00 am on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at Funeraria del Angel with a burial to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
