Richard Robert Moreno

Richard Robert Moreno entered Eternal Rest with our Lord and Savior on Thursday July 21, 2022, at the age of 73. Ricky was born on September 7, 1948, to Alberto Moreno and Lydia Garcia in Kingsville, Texas and graduated from Texas School of the Deaf in Austin, Tx.

Ricky is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Ofelia Felix Moreno; sons, Robert Richard Moreno, wife Alana Moreno, Marcus Arnoldo Moreno and wife, Crystal Moreno; 8 grandchildren, Mark Olivarez, Jada Moreno, Lauren Moreno, Isaiah Moreno, Robyn Moreno, Jewel Moreno, Danielle Arriola, Roman Moreno; and 4 great-grandchildren; Mother, Lydia Movick; sisters, Yolanda Bazan, Irma Luera, and Gloria Loredo.

Ricky is preceded in death by his father, Alberto Moreno; brother, Arnoldo Moreno; and sister, Aurelia Bazan.

He worked as a Mechanic in his early years, retired from Del Mar College in 1998, and was a member of the Deaf Center of Corpus Christi for many years.

Ricky loved life and his family; he was a devoted Texas Longhorns, Dallas Cowboys & WWE wrestling fan. Ricky enjoyed watching old western movies and spending time at BBQs with his two sons. He loved joking with family and friends, most of all spending his golden years with his loving wife Ofelia Moreno.

A visitation for Richard will be held Monday, August 1, 2022 at 5:00 PM at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415. A holy rosary will occur Monday, August 1, 2022 at 7:00 PM, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at 10:00 AM, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415. An interment will occur Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Memory Gardens Cemetery, 8200 Old Brownsville Road, Corpus Christi, Texas 78415.
