Rick William Stone

Tuesday, February 13, 2018, Rick Stone, born Eric Einar, loving fiancé, son, brother, uncle and father passed away at the age of 46. Rick was born on October 15, 1971 in Duluth, MN and grew up in Corpus Christi, TX. He was a 1991 graduate from Richard King High School and worked in the oilfield and refineries as a QC inspector for many years. Rick was known as a prankster, joke teller and story teller.

He had an infectious smile that lit up a room. Rick was always up for an adventure and never met a stranger. He was always aiming for his next big dream, he was fearless and had a heart of gold. Rick loved his family and friends beyond measure. Rick was preceded in death by his grandparents, Murel and Helen (Bullis Buntin) and he was their golden child. He is survived by his parents, Mike and Betty Rasmussen; father, Gene Stone; fiancé, Carrie Snyder; brothers, Aaron Stone and brother, Michael Rasmussen; sisters, Connie Baird Bowen and Wendy (Jerry) Waha; children, Jacob and Kammie Stone; uncle, Don (Stacy) Buntin; aunt, Donna Buntin; cousins, Glenda Guimbellot and Gregg Griffin, nieces and nephews, Pamela, Aaron, Lance, Allisten, Victor and Tyrone; and his good friends, Dick and Lorraine Noyes.

Rick will be carried to his final resting place by some of his oldest and best friends, Charlie Maresh, Trey Maresh, Tim Maresh, Victor Perez, Martin McMullen, Davey Dockins, Corey Griffin and Jim Bird.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Rick Stone’s name to the Texas State Trooper Association (TSTA). Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 8:30 a.m. at Funeraria Del Angel Memorial Holly with a funeral Service to be held at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
