Roger Norman Hunter, 83, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away on July 3, 2022. He was born in Childress, Texas on May 11, 1939 and graduated from Childress High School. He married Emilia Rivera Hunter on October 2, 1959.
Roger had a career as a salesman for Guarantee Carpets and retired in June, 2021. He was a member of Southcrest Baptist Church. He had a passion for competitive pistol shooting.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Emilia Hunter.
He is survived by his sons, Roger V. Hunter, Jeffery Hunter and John Hunter; grandchildren, Taryn Hunter, Zachary Hunter, Emily A. Hunter, Madelynn Hunter, Ryan Hunter and Chase James Hunter.
Roger is also survived by his brothers, Jim Hunter and Gary Woodward.
Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Sunday, July 10, 2022 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM. Funeral Service will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Monday, July 11, 2022 at 2:00 PM with entombment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
