Ronnie L. Patterson

Ronnie (Ron) Lee Patterson, 69, of Corpus Christi, Texas, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born in New Reading, OH on July 11, 1955, to James Willard Patterson and Goldie Marie Pike.

Ron joined the USAF after graduating high school, where he met and married the love of his life, Ruth, on July 11, 1981, at Dyess AFB in Abilene, TX. He retired from the military in 1993. After leaving the military, Ron worked in the IT field until he eventually retired in 2020. He was a hard-working man. He loved spending his free time working on his computer and playing his computer games, working on puzzles, watching movies and shows and most importantly, just being around his family, whom he loved more than anything.

He is preceded in death by his father James Willard Patterson, and brother, John Thomas Patterson.

He is survived by his loving wife, Ruth G. Patterson of 43 years; mother Goldie Childress; children, Dominque Rodriguez (step son), Jennifer Rodriguez (step daughter), Jacqueline (Jesus) Martinez, Joseph (Khaysha) Patterson; grandchildren, Angelica (Austin) Villarreal, Michael (Ashley) Rodriguez, Sean Hernandez, Anissa Patterson and Khyla Patterson; siblings: Kathy Patterson, Candy Patterson, Diane Patterson, Tammy Patterson, Joanne (Todd) Kappel, Sherlyn Patterson, James (Stephanie) Hinkle, Douglas (Mindy) Nutter, Chad (Lisa) Fannin, Lisa Patterson, Jay Patterson, Billy Jo Patterson, Greg Patterson, Laura (Nick) Karr.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m at Memory Gardens Funeral Home, 8200 Old Brownsville Rd., Corpus Christi, TX. Continued visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. at Primera Asamblea de Dios, 402 Cheyenne St., Corpus Christi, TX with a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. A committal service will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Honored to serve as Pallbearers are Douglas Nutter, James Hinkle, Dominque Rodriguez, Jennifer Rodriguez, Michael Rodriguez, Todd Kappel, David Gonzalez Jr. and Landon Horton.
