Ruben Torres Marroquin

Ruben T Marroquin was born in Corpus Christi Texas on September 13, 1943, and he sadly passed away on Friday August 16, 2024, at the age of 81. Ruben was a man of integrity and honor and his patriotic love for his country led him to his Military Career as a SN(E3) on August 16, 1963. He first served proudly in The United States Marines and later in his Military Career as a United States Navy. Ruben was married for over 40 years to his beautiful wife Irma Barron Marroquin and together they combined a blended family of love.

He is preceded by his Mother Maria G Marroquin and Father Guadalupe B Marroquin.

Ruben leaves behind his children Ruben T. Marroquin (Ben), Rolando T. Marroquin, Reynaldo Marroquin (Rey), John Michael Marroquin, Elida Perez, Norma Villarreal, Carlos Vela (Michelle), Judy Garcia, Louie Cadena Jr. (Tiffany). Many Grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Ruben T Marroquin will be missed for his unconditional love, generosity, and knowledge he shared with so many he impacted. May he rest in eternal peace with our Savior on the golden streets of heaven.

A visitation for Ruben will be held on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 from 5:00pm-9:00pm at Funeraria Del Angel Memorial Holly located at 3442 Holly Rd., Corpus Christi, Texas 78415. A holy rosary will be recited on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at 7:00pm, also at Funeraria Del Angel Memorial Holly. The funeral mass for Ruben will be held on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at 12:30pm at Holy Family Catholic Church, located at 2509 Nogales St., Corpus Christi, Texas 78405, with his interment to follow at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery, located at 9974 I-37, Corpus Christi, TX 78410.
