Russell L. Higgs, 51, passed away on March 13, 2014 in Corpus Christi, Texas. He was born on September 29, 1962 in El Paso, Texas. Russell has been working at Naval Air Station in Corpus Christi, Texas as a Aero Mechanic for 32 years. He had a great love for Hawaiian Shirts, Jimmy Buffett music and anything Island style. Russell was a wonderful husband, great father, amazing grandfather, and outstanding brother and son. He will be forever loved and missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene B. Higgs and his grandparents, Alred and Grace Wright.
Russell leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife Michelle Higgs, daughter, Iris (Brian) Zavala, grandchildren, Calyn, Alexandria, Aiden, great-granddaughter, Laylah, faithful companion (dog) Faith, mother, Darlene Higgs, sister, Debby (Curtis) Ivey, brother, Alan (Cindy) Higgs, uncles, Charles Stence, and cousin, Sarah Stence, many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Family will be receiving friends on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at Memory Gardens Funeral Home Chapel at 12:00 p.m. (noon) with a Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m.
