Terecita Terry P. Reyes age, 75 of Corpus Christi Texas, entered eternal rest on Thursday, August 7, 2025. She was born in Falfurrias TX, on February 3, 1950 to the late Reyes Perez and Candelaria Palacios.
Terecita married Ruben V. Reyes on September 23, 1999 in Las Vegas, Nevada, they went on to enjoy 23 years of matrimony. She had a long successful career spanning 26 years of dedicated services to HEB, before her retirement in 2005. Before her career as an HEB partner, Terecita worked for Three Brothers grocery store as well as Nueces County Community Action Agency, Head Start.
Terecita was the youngest of 16 children, she dropped out of school at the age of 11 to help care for her mother. She continued this throughout her life, always putting others first, a one of a kind person who was fully dedicated to her family.
Terecita found joy in many things, BBQ, football, the Dallas Cowboys in particular, Brett Farve and Tony Romo, going on cruises, dancing to Tejano music and trying her luck on the slot machines in Las Vegas. She also had a green thumb and enjoyed tending to her flowers and plants. She found peace shopping for her plants, her humble heart hated to be the center of attention. Terry was good at many things, but cooking and baking was up at the top of her list of talents. The list of her best dishes is long, but most notably would have to be her enchiladas, mac & cheese and her famous, one of a kind pan de polvo everyone looked forward to at Christmas time. She loved the colors red, yellow & purple. Terry enjoyed her barbacoa tacos on a Sunday with a hot cup of coffee, she also had a sweet tooth, carrot cake and cinnamon rolls washed down with a cold Diet Dr. Pepper were amongst her favorite sweet treats to enjoy.
Terecita was full of love and had the most forgiving heart, she was a hard worker and a devoted loving mother to her daughter, Jennifer, even when she started to forget, she never forgot her love for her daughter. Always willing to help with the most beautiful smile on her face, she was a good sister, aunt mother and friend. She always shared her bits of wisdom such as, no one is perfect and only God should judge, God is everywhere, always believe in yourself and for her daughter, I love you Mija - with all of my heart.
