

Willie Lamar Yoakum peacefully transitioned from this life on February 23rd, 2026 leaving behind a legacy filled with music, laughter, and unwavering love for his family. Now free from pain, we find comfort in knowing he is resting peacefully, undoubtedly having a concert in heaven.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam Yoakum and Annie White.
He is survived by his loving wife, Sherry Yoakum; his children, Nikki Beale/Vince Beale, Shaye Yoakum Carpenter/Abram Carpenter, Tiffany Cardenas/Jose Cardenas; and his bonus children Sheriee Thomas and Jonathan Thomas. Willie’s cherished grandchildren are, Davianne Collins/Devin Lamar Houston/Dionn Houston, Lyric Carpenter/Journee Carpenter/Jackson Carpenter, Genesis Cardenas/Amaya Cardenas/Scarlett Cardenas; and his precious great grandson Valentino Lamar. He also leaves behind extended family and dear friends who will miss him deeply.
Outside of his family, music was the heartbeat of Willie’s life. A gifted musician and singer, he spent his lifetime sharing his talent and bringing joy to everyone around him. Whether on a stage, surrounded by friends, or gathered with family, Willie’s music created moments people would never forget. His rhythm, voice, and passion made him not only an entertainer, but the life of every gathering.
Known for his humor and storytelling, Willie never missed an opportunity to make others laugh. His jokes, warm personality, and vibrant spirit could light up any room. Being around him meant smiles, music, and unforgettable memories.
Above all else, Willie was deeply devoted to his children and grandchildren. He made it a priority to show up to celebrations, milestones, holidays, and everyday family moments. His presence was constant, his love undeniable, and his pride in his family immeasurable.
Though his earthly song has come to an end, the melody of his life continues through the lives he touched and the love he gave so freely. His memory will forever live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who were blessed to know him.
Willie Lamar Yoakum’s pain is gone, but his music plays on now echoing in heaven.
