She was born on August 20, 1944 in Laredo, Texas to Mauro D. and San Juana Martinez.
Yolanda worked for over 20 years with Molina Neighborhood Center as an educator; she was a devoted daughter, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Yolanda always sacrified for her family and loved them dearly. Her memory will always be cherished.
She is preceded in death by her mother, San Juana Martinez.
Yolanda leaves behind her family to cherish her memories, her father, Mauro D. Martinez; two sons, Fidel (Cinthia) Silvas, Tony (Angie) Silvas and one daughter, Lisa Silvas (Belinda Cortinas); fourteen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren; one sister, Sylvia Fuentes (Sam Toomey); numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Funeraria Del Angel.
Chapel services will be held on Thursday, April 12, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Funeraria Del Angel with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
