Anita G Jones

Anita G. Jones, age 82, passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2015. She was born in Coshocton County on January 11, 1933 to the late Jesse and Ruth (Levengood) Guthrie. Anita graduated from Keene High School in 1950 and on April 4, 1954 she married James E. Jones who preceded her in death. She was a 50 year member of Grace United Methodist Church. Anita enjoyed reading, the theater, traveling, gardening, and spending time with her family. She is survived by her four children, Diane (Steven) Snow of Newark, Julie (Norman) Coleman of Mason, Becky (Lynn) Jacobs of Coshocton, and Ed (Ruth Anne) Jones of Columbus; seven grandchildren, Jeffrey (Kylie) Snow, Jonathan Coleman, Michael (Katie) Jacobs, Shelby Jacobs, Ashley (Matt) Holtzlander, Kenton (Chelsea) Jones, and Logan Jones; four great-grandchildren, Brady, Hallie, Hayden, Grayson; and three sisters -in-law, Mildred Wisecarver of Columbus, Mary Rodock of Canton, and Theda Jones of Coshocton. Along with her parents and husband, Anita is preceded in death by an infant daughter, Suzanne Lynette, three brothers, Donnis, Jesse Jr., and Arthur Eugene Guthrie; and sister Janice Guilliams. Calling hours will be held on Monday, August 17, 2015 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Keith Peachey officiating.
