Christy Tubbs

Christy graduated Valedictorian of her class in 1972, from West Holmes High School. She was a Registered Nurse for Coshocton County Memorial Hospital from 1975 to 2011.

Christy was a very talented individual who pursued several interests including sewing, knitting, painting, jewelry making, and genealogy. She especially enjoyed supporting her children’s activities and was always willing to give her time to help others. Christy created websites for both the Coshocton High School Swim Team and Rising Tide Aquatic Club. She ran the computers for local swim meets from 1999-2009. Christy’s positive attitude inspired those around her, and her amazing sense of humor made it easy for everyone to relate to her.

On July 5, 1975, Christy married Wesley Tubbs who survives. Along with her mother Ada, she is also survived by her children, Lindsay (Elliott) Schreiner of Toledo, Cari (Fiance’ Josh Schinagle) Tubbs of Toledo, and Brian Tubbs of Columbus; brothers, Cole (Susan) Smail, Mark Smail, and Kurt (Janet) Smail; sisters, Abby (Rob) Rice and Andi (Ray) Evans; sister-in-law, Suzanne (Steve) McCluggage; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, James Smail.

A gathering of friends and family will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at 5:00 pm at the Tubbs’ residence. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Health Services of Coshocton, 230 S. 4th Street, Coshocton, Ohio 43812.
